Aphelio are a bold games and interactive design company, with the ambition to bring high-end, emotionally engaging experiences to audiences, wherever they are.
We aim to take great ideas and launch them into the world. We plan to change people's perceptions of existing business models, genres and platforms - and invent some new ones along the way.
There is no clear map to innovation. There never was. There is only passion, drive, and a little bit of madness, with the confidence to get away from the crowd. The courage to rewrite the rule book, and travel to places even the most senior adventures wouldn't dare to explore.
Aphelio aim to take our work to new audiences, even audiences that wouldn't normally associate themselves with interactive entertainment. By creating experiences that are tailored to be inclusive, rather than selective, we can foster diverse communities of gamers from all creeds and backgrounds.

Aphelio are a games studio that embraces instability. Platforms are ever changing, audience's tastes are evolving, and the technology we build upon is ever-progressing. Aphelio embrace and aid this change instead of combatting it.
We adopt the latest technologies and practices fast and develop for the latest and most original platforms. We enhance what makes them good, mixing in our passion for good design and usability, and continue to experiment on our work even after launch.
Aphelio understand that the human mind benefits from being stimulated by beautiful and engaging designs. We make even the simplest of concepts a stylistic experience worthy of a second glance.
Whether it be a new platform, marketplace, technology or genre: Aphelio are keen to try new approaches and support and tweak unproven ideas and approaches.
The universe never stops spinning. We see a lot of issues that affect the quality of gaming experiences for the end user. We plan to deliver a string of new models and approaches in response.
Aphelio was formed with the belief that in order to to truly create immersive and engaging experiences in interactive entertainment, new approaches and practices must be tested, released, and tweaked regularly.
The co-founders of Aphelio are a blend of business expertise, coding genius and original artistry, all bonded together with the passion and determination to create experiences that engage and enrich the lives of their audiences.

Michael gained his experience in the games industry working for established developer and publisher Jagex, working on titles including RuneScape, Stellar Dawn, War of Legends and 8 Realms.
Michael is keen to carve his own path in the UK games scene, and has co-founded Aphelio with the ethos to be flexible to change and attempt daring new practices which this business is yet to know of.

Kraig Walker is a rare strand of coding and design talent. Passionate about not just the inner workings of his creations, but the look and feel of them in the hands of users.
Kraig has served as chairman for IGDA Scotland, and has worked on a variety of game projects in different roles, accumulating a vast reserve of experience sooner than most.

Carla graduated with Honours after studying Games Art and Design at Norwich University College of the Arts, with an appetite for creating high precision digital artworks.
Carla is a passionate gamer, and eager to make her mark on what we all regard as an artform here at Aphelio. Her artistic vision is a driving force for Aphelio's strive for innovation.
Aphelio believes in community, communication, and sharing. We aim to not just build a relationship with our players and customers, but also forge alliances across industries and mediums.
